A complexing agent for alkaline earth and heavy metal ions in the paper industry. Effective as a hardness reducer in pulp cooking. Contains no phosphonate compounds, which are practically non-biodegradable and have a eutrophying effect, thus creating environmental problems after the chemicals are discharged.
